Oracal san antonio
Cons short breaks. Enjoyed all but the last year but Oracle is a younger company now a days. They provide a lot of training, including the Class Of for new college grads. I would say a lot of sales is in your territory and you don't always have the most control over that. Pros Fun atmosphere. Cons Increasingly difficult metrics. Make sure they are very clear what the expectations are for the job. Also, negotiate salary up front because it's very hard to get a salary increase once you start.
Hard to find a good fit. Mangers often competitive. No real connection in teams. Sometimes bad behavior is ignored.
Pretty much matches local reputation. Greedy company. Management promote a culture of fear. It was a nice place to work many years ago, but now the company is a creepy greedy place. The people in the team Usually you receive emails from the management requesting something, and also including something like "the directors are watching you".
The directors are also logged in to the chatroom so you can be careful about what you write. They also hear you phone conversations. The management lie a lot of times to hide what is happening behind with the support center in Mexico, and there is tension and fear in the team. Even though the people in the team is nice and willing to have fun, the work environment has become uncomfortable in latest years we communicate between us by using our cell phones because there is fear to be heard.
They also already fired the less 'corporate' managers, and many good managers has voluntarily left the company because of these company practices. Pros Big name, nice benefits. Cons 'Low cost' company. I have thoroughly enjoyed working at Oracle for over 5 years. The fact that nearly everyone I work with has been remote for a very long time is the main benefit. I have never encountered that at any other company. I hope I can work here until I retire. Pros remote work. Great people and great coworkers.
This is an amazing place to get started in your career but also great if you like to use the collective knowledge of a large corporation. Very friendly and family like feeling, despite being a huge company. I love oracle because is a great company. I have learned so much skills. I love the Flexibility, loved the job. Good atmosphere. I love the office how it sets up when you go to Santa Clara Campus.
I love my job but our department moved to Mexico. Pros Go home early when job is done. Cons Healtcare. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Oracle pays what they can get away with, not what someone is worth. Constant re-org every 6 months for the last 4 years leads to an environment of inconsistency and instability.
Entire quarters worth of work are tossed aside as leadership overreacts to issues that would be fixed if they listened to those with the technical knowledge. Pros I'll get back to you. Cons Significantly less pay than other tech companies of the same size. Working here was extraordinary! It is a great company that has a good pay and friendly coworkers! It has been a life changing experience of being here!!!

Diverse environment with employees from many different backgrounds and experiences. Definitely possible to have fun in the office. Good benefits, work from home opportunity. No career growth opportunity whatsoever, no salary raises. No days off during quarter ends february, may, august, and november.
Good benefits overall, lots of PTO, sick leave, etc. Not the best place to work. There is no hr. Company does not impose a good culture across the board, so you have som good managers and some awful ones.
Very inconsistent culture. There are many good and talented coworkers who are very helpful and sincere. However there is favoritism and no real career advancement or development. Management is disconnected and out of touch.
They usually promote who they like versus who is qualified. Not a place to stay at long term. Don't plan to end your career here.
Not a lot of micromanagement, but managers are often promoted based on who they know, rather than what they know. This often leads to inexperienced management who can offer no support to employees. It's almost impossible to find another internal position. Get in, get the company on your resume, then get out.
