It offered pick-up at the hotel which was helpful. The tour was conducted from a small boat that help up to about 16 people with a tour guide who was seated at the front of the boat and a driver at the back.

The ride at the back of the boat offered a smoother ride, but made it difficult to hear what the tour guide was saying at the front of the boat.

Expect to get wet on this tour, and if you have back or neck problems, this probably is not the tour for you. It is a small, fast boat which allows them to quickly move to areas whales have been sighted but then sacrifices comfort a bit.

Seeing a whale during the tour is never a guarantee. We had a couple of minor whale sightings during our tour including a couple of whale tales emerging from the water and the backs of a couple of whales.

Even if you don't see the whales though, you do get a spectacular view of the Cabo San Lucas coast line including the famous arch, seal rock, and bay. One problem we experienced on our ride was that a front seat came loose during the tour, but the guide and driver handled it well. It did indicate perhaps a need for improved maintenance on the boats. The tour lasted a little over two hours and I thought was well worth it.
