Lately, leaving messages is a waste of time as we left a message and had no return call in four days. Had to call someone at Hammersmith to try to reach the concierge desk and they could not reach them either.
What a joke for a building that has units. Recently, one of the residents let it be known that the concierge gave out a key to a resident's personal condo instead of one of the two guest units, leaving a mess with damages and Hammersmith not even coming to meet with the owners to try to assist in abating the damages.
Worst management company we have experienced in all of the various HOA management companies we have been exposed to through our various real estate investments. Hope they are fired SOON!!! Hammersmith's problem seems to have been mostly rug-sweeping. Hammersmith isn't communicating with the residents. People are not aware.
People are not getting emails from Hammersmith. They need to put a notice on doors, making them aware of the problem and telling everyone what they need to do as far as trash, clutter, etc. She can't cover her arse fast enough on this one.
Karen's email about sofas and TVs at the dumpster are a joke; that certainly is unsightly, but it isn't bringing in rats. Karen is an utter waste of time! Hammersmith has been managing our condo for few years now. Each year the management services get worse.
The managers that they assign to the properties are totally incompetent. We specialize in managing townhomes, HOAs,…. They are having difficulty keeping up with managing their employees and they are constantly quiting and new ones being trained.

Work-life balance In general, a good company to work for. Great benefits and fair wages. The only issues that seem to arise are more from interpersonal situations and what appear to be spontaneous Management decisions. Overall Keep your head down, don't divulge much personal information, do your job and try not to make waves.

Quick to place warm bodies where work is needed. Doesn't really listen to the maintenance technician ideas or theories. If they wanted to hire a well experienced maintenance tech that can do the job right but stick him doing grounds work instead. Pros Good benefits and time off. Cons Not placing people in the right areas and property managers are a joke.
In the future, it would be great to hear about this when it is happening. Human Resources is always available. This company is so out of touch with the property management industry it is actually sad.
There was a lot of turnover with community managers and upper Mamagement. With more than 40 years experience in the Community Management industry, we are proud of our people and services. We are not property management, so maybe that's where the disconnect lies? Best of luck to you.
